Appalachian State University (ASU) is located in Boone, NC. From Charlotte take I-77 North to the exit for 421 North. From Raleigh and other points east, take I-40 to the exit for 421 North, just past Winston-Salem. 421 North passes through Wilkesboro and then leads straight to Boone and ASU.
